Vernoux is situated at 580 mtrs altitude. The climate is great, with several months stable dry summerweather, without the moist heat of the Provence or the french south coast. Consequently musquitos don't like it over here. At night the air cools down to a pleasant sleeping temperature. The air is clear without big-town pollution or so-called "fine dust /soothparticles". The number of sunny hours is much higher then average in the UK and that even makes the cold winters very pleasant.
